As one of the most successful non-profit chief executives and fundraisers in the United States, Bob Fisher’s experience became a unique asset to the RLL firm when he joined as a partner in 2004. He has built non-profits, he has rescued and rehabilitated non-profits, he has repositioned non-profits local and national in almost every service sector: in the arts and humanities, in independent and higher education, in the environment, in health, in social services, in the world of government, foundation, and individual funders. He always has enjoyed a reputation for spotting talent, for developing talent, and for surrounding himself with gifted managers. His experience enables him to listen carefully, to assess, and to understand quickly the challenges of his client organizations. When he finds candidates for leadership positions, he has consistently demonstrated extraordinary ability to identify ideal fit with experience, skill sets, style, and chemistry. There may not be a single leader in non-profit executive search in the United States with Bob Fisher’s credibility as a lifelong executive, and ability to recruit true institution-builders who fit the culture and future needs of his client organizations.

Bob LoPresto was a pioneer in High Technology executive search. When the Silicon Valley was in its infancy, Bob established the high technology practice of the world’s largest executive search firm, Korn Ferry, serving as Vice President and Managing Partner of the Palo Alto office, and Managing Director of the firm’s worldwide high technology practice. Preferring a relationship-based and more intimate professional connection with company clients, Bob joined Bill Rusher and Mike Loscavio in 1991, and has been the Managing Partner of the Palo Alto office and high technology practice of RLL since then. Bob was already a legend in the field of human resources before making his commitment to executive search, having previously overseen the HR and corporate staffing functions at Levi Strauss, Syntex, American Microsystems, Fairchild, and McGraw-Hill. A founding member forty years ago, Bob served as President of the Employment Management Association (EMA) and President of the NCHRA during an 18 year stint on the Board. Bob is one of several elite leaders in the search profession. During his 40 years in this work, Bob has been responsible for placing more than 1000 senior executives in start-up to Fortune 100 companies Click for more detailed biographical information about Bob LoPresto. |

Michael Loscavio, President of Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto, joined Bill Rusher when RLL was founded in 1977. Preferring a more relationship-based and intimate search practice, Mike came to San Francisco and RLL after starting in executive search with Spencer Stuart and Associates in Chicago. Though Mike is one of the most seasoned search professionals in any firm, search was his second career. A naval aviator, Mike retired as a Commander, after tours throughout Asia, the Pacific, and the United States, but also as U.S. liaison officer to the United Nations Command in Tokyo and as a strategic planner with the Joint Staff at the Strategic Air Command in Omaha. Mike recognizes leadership and understands how different styles of leadership can shape the futures of RLL clients. A consummate search generalist, Mike’s many hundreds of top executive placements have been with non-profit and for-profit organizations of every size and complexity, domestic and international. Laura has made executive level management placements in sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, clinical, human resources, product development and finance. She has also developed and executed successful recruitment campaigns to find one-of-a-kind candidates for clients with unusual needs. Laura’s work reflects her head for science and heart for people, her attention to detail while envisioning the big picture, her finely-honed instincts about people and leadership. Her many and varied clients have included Varian Medical Systems, Genomic Health, Alexza, Chemdex, Valley Labs, Webex, and First Franklin Financial Corporation. In 2001, Laura achieved status as a Certified Management Consultant. The CMC (Certified Management Consultant) designation is awarded to those select consultants who have demonstrated a history of substantive results for clients, adherence to the canon of ethics of the Institute of Management Consultants USA, and professional practice management. Global standards of technical competence and professional conduct are set by the 43-nation International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). At this time, about 1,000 consultants -- less than 1% of all active professional management consultants in the United States -- have been recognized with the CMC.
