National Professional Recognition

BusinessWeek names William H. Rusher, Jr. one of the 50 most influential search consultants in the World

In a special report released in January 2008, BusinessWeek introduced its exclusive list of the world's 50 most influential headhunters, including William H. Rusher, Jr. of Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto.

To identify global leaders in search, BusinessWeek considered a number of factors including individual reputations; years of headhunting experience; the global scope of recruiting practices; accessibility and responsiveness; high visibility within the client markets they serve; the recognition they enjoy within their firms and in global executive search communities.

Rusher was recognized, in particular, for his excellence in technology, financial services, professional services, manufacturing, and non-profit searches.

Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto Named One of North America's "50 Leading" Executive Recruiting Firms.

Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto is considered among the elite executive search firms in North America, according to a new list compiled by industry-leading newsletter Executive Recruiter News (ERN). ERN publishes the "50 Leading Retained Executive Search Firms in North America."

"The 'Nifty Fifty' of executive search are representative of top-quality retainer firms in all categories: large, small, worldwide, regional, generalist and specialist," says ERN managing editor Tom Rodenhauser. "Among the criteria we consider are quality, ethics, history, age, size, stability, contributions to the profession and a firm's reputation within the search community."

Executive Recruiter News is the leading independent newsletter of the executive recruiting profession and had been published continuously since 1980. ERN is part of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire based Kennedy Publications, which is well known for The Directory of Executive Recruiters-the famous "Red Book" for executive job-seekers, which is now in its 26th edition.

The Wall Street Journal Acknowledges Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto's Leadership in Executive Search

Kris Maher, in his Wall Street Journal article, Landing a Job In a Bad Market, identified recruiters with unusual specialties and/or high rates of placement. He singled out Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto for its completion ratio and industry expertise by saying, “Rusher… has a reputation for placing candidates in startups and venture-backed companies.”

This acknowledgment is particularly noteworthy during the executive search industry’s major concentration. Maher pointed out that, “Last year alone, some 500 headhunting firms--or about 10% of the industry went under.”

Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto proudly maintains its reputation for high quality placements and an unusually high completion rates even in demanding economic times. We continue to measure our performance, not by the number of placements we make but by the enduring impact our placements have in our client organizations and our success in completing what we start.
