Dennis Purpura is a 30-year veteran of the enterprise software and telecommunications industries where he has held senior sales and marketing executive assignments with Fair Isaac & Company, IBM's Financial Institution Call Center Automation Software and Professional Services sales in North America, Teknekron Software Alliance Core Banking Systems, and Tymnet, a data communications subsidiary of McDonnell Douglas Corporation.
Dennis has significant experience working and living in East and Southeast Asia. He successfully launched a software and consulting services business for Teknekron based in Malaysia and led the turn around of Control Data Corporation's hosted services business in Tokyo.
He entered executive search when he joined Heidrick & Struggles' Silicon Valley Technology and Communications Practice. Because of his Asia experience, he also served as their North America liaison with the Asia Pacific Technology Group. More recently, Dennis was a partner at Nucleus Partners/LGES; a Silicon-Valley based strategic consulting and executive recruiting firm.
Dennis is an active member of Community Presbyterian Church in Danville where he served as elder and currently works with inner city missions. He was a founder and the Chairman of Capernaum Friendship Young Life, an outreach program for mentally and physically challenged children and young adults in the Diablo Valley of Contra Costa County. He is an Adjunct Professor of Business at Patten University in Oakland where he lectures on Managerial Finance and Organizational and Business Development.
Dennis holds Bachelors of Science and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California where he was also awarded scholarships, scholastic awards and a full fellowship to graduate school. While living in Tokyo, Japan he completed the Business Executive Studies program at Sophia University.
A Viet Nam era veteran, Dennis served in the United States Air Force and attended college on the GI Bill.
